الإعلام العربي يتساءل إثر تحول الرأي البريطاني نحو التغيير:هل يكون نيك كليج أوباما البريطاني؟

Following Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg's victory in the first ever televised debate between UK party leaders in a UK election, some quarters of the Arab media has questioned whether Clegg's success could see him rise to prominence as Britain's answer to charismatic US President Barak Obama.

Clegg's performance in the first and second debate, held last night, have seen the Liberal Democrats push Gordon Brown's Labour party into third place in pre-election polls.

Many in the Arab media, along with commentators on both sides of the Atlantic, are now wondering whether Clegg could make an unlikely push for Prime Minister in the elections, set to be held on May 6.

تساءلت بعض الأوساط الإعلامية العربية عما إذا كان نجاح الزعيم الديمقراطي الليبرالي نيك كليج قد يشهد ارتقائه للقمة نتيجة استجابة بريطانيا لشخصية الرئيس الأمريكي باراك أوباما و ذلك في أعقاب الانتصار الذي حققه الديمقراطي في أول مناظرة تليفزيونية أجريت بين قادة الأحزاب المختلفة خلال الانتخابات البريطانية.

وساهم أداء كليج في المناظرتين الأولى والثانية واللتين أجريتا ليلة أمس بأن قام الديمقراطيون الليبراليون بدفع حزب العمل بقيادة رئيس الوزراء البريطاني غوردون براون إلى المرتبة الثالثة في استطلاعات الرأي قبيل إجراء الانتخابات البريطانية.

و تتساءل العديد من وسائل الإعلام العربية الآن جنباً إلى جنب مع المعلقين على كلا جانبي الأطلنطي عما إذا كان كليج يستطيع أن يقوم بدفعة غير مرجحة تجاه منصب رئيس الوزراء البريطاني في تلك الانتخابات و المقرر إجرائها في السادس من مايو القادم.
