Secretary General of Arab League: An Israeli offensive in Lebanon is a real possibility

Secretary General of the League of Arab States Amr Moussa warned of the possibility of an Israeli offensive against Lebanon, stating it was important to anticipate this to protect and support Lebanon.

Moussa said in a press conference held in Beirut that he had discussed the next Arab summit, Arab relationships, the Israeli threat, and the current Iranian situation with Lebanese officials. The press conference was held following Moussa’s two-day visit to Beirut.

Moussa’s statements were in response to questions surrounding Lebanon’s participation in the summit, as the extent of Lebanon’s participation remains an issue of discussion.

واضاف في مؤتمر صحافي عقده في بيروت بعد زيارة استمرت يومين انه تباحث مع المسؤولين اللبنانيين حول القمة العربية المقبلة والعلاقات العربية والتهديدات الإسرائيلية والوضع الإيراني.

وردا على سؤال إن مشاركة لبنان في القمة غير مطروح للنقاش وسيصار الى بحث المستوى الذي ستتم على أساسه هذه المشاركة.
